Before we ask you to obtain a subscription, we want to explain why a subscription is necessary.
We have found that there is a need for current, non-opinionated, factual and scientific based information about the environmental effects of improperly discarded plastic food packaging.
~ To meet this need, in February 2020, Plastic Food Packaging Waste News www.pfpw.news was established as a Maryland Limited Liability Company (LLC).
~ The purpose of the news service is to assist its readers in their individual effort to stay informed with publicly available information concerning the after-use environmental life of plastic food packaging waste.
Subscription funds will replace Jack’s personal financial support of the news service and the Animal Digestible Food Packaging Initiative www.adfpi.org, the goal of which is to convince, inspire, persuade, and encourage representatives of the food industry to establish a public private partnership that would fund research for the discovery of new food packaging materials that would be digestible by animals.
~ Initiative and news service expenses include those for the tax and QuickBooks accountants, the webmaster and social media director, internet and homepage availability and other expenses necessary for continued operation of the news service and Initiative.
Student and Intern Subscriptions – Students and Interns may receive complimentary subscriptions until they graduate are gainfully employed by signing up here: or by sending their contact information to Jack at JLC@pfpw.news
Personal Subscriptions – We are pleased to offer an annual personal subscription of $250 which may be as low as $60 by writing to Jack at JLC@pfpw.news
Organization Subscriptions – We offer organization subscriptions to public and private companies, trade associations, educational institutions, government agencies, nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations, and others.
Revenue or spending budgets greater than:
~ One billion dollars – $7,500 – Ten individuals may receive PFPW News on a no additional charge basis.
~ 100 million dollars – $5,000 – Ten individuals may receive PFPW News on a no additional charge basis.
~ 10 million dollars – $2,500 – Ten individuals may receive PFPW News on a no additional charge basis.
Revenue or spending budget less than 10 million dollars – $750 – negotiable – Five individuals may receive PFPW News on a no additional charge basis
